I recommend to get ice cream or Japanese green tea ticket at JPY 300 yen as well when you get in.

There is no English description in this pot musiam but all stuff are very nice and this place are so beautiful.

This place is next to the "Kanpo no Yado "hot spring spa(Onsen).

It's good idea to go Onsen as well if you come here.

When you visit Kitakyushu City I recommend you visit Sarakurayama (Mt. Sarakura)

I have been there many times.

25min walk to Cable car.

5 min by Taxi.

Free shuttle bus is available on Sat and Sunday.


---From Fukuoka or Kokura ---

High way bus will stop infront of Hobashira cable car bus stop.

To get to the top you will get into Slope car after cable car.

Wisteria Tunnel (Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu)

-- How to get to Kawachi Fuji Garden (en)--

22km about 50min by car from Taro's Accommodation.

1)Catch a bus to JR Ongagawa Station from Natsuigahama infornt of Apartment. (30min)

 

2)Ongagawa Station to JR Yahata Station.(17min)

 

3)You can catch Taxi from JR Yahata Station.(About JPY 3,000 for one way)

Or there is hot spring Onsen near by and they provide free shuttle bus from Yahata station.

To use their free shuttle bus you must use their Onsen.

If you come here i recommend to visit Kawachi Onsen as well.

Kawachi fuji garden is 3 min walk from Kawachi Onsen.

 

---Taro's secret way to get here ---

I don't recommend this way to everyone specially if you have small kids to carry.

But i still would like to introduce it as your option.

If you like hiking in the mountain or want to looking for something different from other tourist, this route may for you.

This route is not written in any tour guide book.Only few local people knows this way.

 

1) Catch a free shuttle bus to Hobashira(Sarakurayama)cable car from JR Yahata Station.(Or you can walk to here from Yahata sta)

2) Catch a cable car to Top of the Mt Sarakura.(Or you can walk to top )

3)Walk to Kawachi Fuji garden from Top of the Mt Sarakura (40-60min) 

 

When you return to JR Yahata Sta from Kawachi Fuji Garden

1)Go visit Ajisaino Yu Onsen.(It's 3 min walk from Kawachi Fuji garden)

So you can get free shuttle bus to back JR Yahata Station.

 

2)Or you can walk back to Top of Mt Sarakura (60min)and go down with cable car .

 

 Kawachi Fujien (Wisteria Tunnel in Kitakyushu)  

Pre sale ticket for sale including shipping cost to your address (Within in Japan)

They changed the Entry system for Kawachi Fujien from 2016.

You will need to buy pre sale ticket before you enter this place if you go between 23rd April to 8th May.

Please understand you will still need to pay the entrance fee.

Their entrance fee changes due to the Wisteria condition.

Your pre-sale ticket is only part of the entry fee. You will still need to pay up to 1,000 yen more at the gate. The price is 

rated as per the quality of the viewing. Beginning and end of the season may be no further cost, mid season 500 yen at the gate

and 1,000 further for the best time. These dates are always changing and are based on weather and more and can not be predicted.

Under High School age (Under 15 years) is free, no pre-sale ticket required.
